Daphne earned her Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law. As a Senior Associate Attorney at McCarthy Law, Daphne focuses her practice on Estate Planning, Elder Law, Probate Administration, and Guardianship Administration. She is dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate complex legal matters while providing thoughtful, compassionate, and personalized guidance.
Daphne’s passion for Estate Planning and Elder Law stems from personal experience. After her grandfather was diagnosed with dementia and psychosis, she witnessed firsthand the emotional and legal challenges her family faced as her mother navigated the process of obtaining guardianship through the Massachusetts Probate Court. This experience shaped her approach to practicing law and reinforced her commitment to helping families plan proactively, preserve their wishes, and avoid unnecessary stress during difficult times. Daphne prides herself on being a compassionate advocate and a trusted resource for clients navigating some of life’s most important decisions.
Becoming a mother to her son has given Daphne an even deeper appreciation for the importance of thoughtful estate planning. Parenthood has provided her with a new perspective on the significance of guardianship designations, protecting future generations, and creating a lasting legacy. She understands that estate planning is about much more than the distribution of assets; it is about providing security, preserving family values, and ensuring that loved ones are cared for, no matter what the future holds.
Outside of the office, Daphne enjoys spending time with her husband and son, taking nature walks, attending Pure Barre classes, and relaxing at the beach. As a lifelong Rhode Island resident, she appreciates the close-knit communities and family-oriented traditions that make the Ocean State such a special place to call home.
